Celebrated filmmaker Kunle Afolayan‘s new feature “SWALLOW” film will be released on Netflix on 1 October, 2021, Nigeria’s Independence Day.
The new film is an adaptation of Sefi Atta’s best-selling novel. Swallow is the first film from Kunle Afolayan‘s multi-title Netflix slate, according to The Nation.
Swallow, which is directed by Seffi Atta and written by Kunle Afolayan will be starring star Ijeoma Grace Agu, Deyemi Okanlawon, Eniola Badmus, Chioma Akpotha, Kevin Ikeduba, Offiong Anthony Edet, and Olusegun Remi, among others.
The drama-thriller examines the burgeoning drug trafficking trade in 1980s Lagos, which is struggling under the weight of austerity measures and the infamous War Against Indiscipline (WAI).
