Annastasia Michael, a 24-year-old woman, has offered to donate one of her kidneys to save the life of Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s daughter, Sonia.
Making this disclosure in response to the social media posts made by Sonia who is `desperately in search of a kidney to stay alive, Annastasia said she took the decision to prove that women can help women.
The Lady who pitched herself as ‘the best donor’ said that she had already forwarded a mail to the address made public by Sonia in the Facebook post she made on Monday.
Annastasia said she was ready to give her kidney for free if none of the Ekweremadu’s family members could offer to help the ailing senator’s daughter.
“I (Annastasia Michael Olamma) want to donate one of my kidney to Sonia Ekweremadu to save her life. I have made up my mind to do this to prove women can help women. If any of her relatives mum, dad, and siblings, cannot give out their kidneys to save their Bloodline, Then i will donate my own to save Sonia and I demand nothing in return. I pray it matches with her own,” Annastasia said.
“I am 24 years old, I don’t take alcohol, and I believe my kidney is very healthy to donate,” she added.
Newsbreak.ng had reported how Sonia took to her social media page to plead for a voluntary kidney donor.
Defending her parent’s inability to donate their vital organ, she said that doctors already advised against it because her case is of a genetic illness known as “nephrotic syndrome,” which could reoccur if a member of her family donates.
