Hakeem Odumosu, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, has deployed mobile policemen in the correctional centres in the state.

He said this while receiving Francis Adebisi, new Controller of the Correctional Service in the state, and his entourage at the state police headquarters in Ikeja, on Wednesday.
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, in a post on Twitter said: “The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu presently playing a host to the new Controller of Correctional Service, Lagos, Comp Francis Adebisi, and his entourage, at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja GRA. It’s in furtherance of the CPs plans to forestall attacks.”

On Monday, over 1,800 inmates were set free by gunmen at the Owerri Correctional Centre in Imo State. It is suspected that the incident is responsible for the reinforcement at the centre in Lagos.
