The mother of one of the victims of the fire explosion that occurred in the early hours of today in Lagos has wailed in anguish as she mourns the tragic demise of her son.
She said her son, Oluwatobi Lawan, was only 15-years-old and was about to sit for the West Africa examination before his passing.
The tanker explosion happened at Ajegunle Bus-Stop, around Alagbado, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway at about 3am on Friday, April 22.
A tanker conveying 45,000 litres of petrol fell and spilt its contents while negotiating a bend to a filling station in the area where the fuel was supposed to be discharged. The fire allegedly broke out while some miscreants were scooping fuel.
Oluwtobi Lawal, was asleep like other residents of the area when the inferno started.
It is, however, not clear how Lawal was caught in the fire which was later put out by emergency officials.
