A man has found himself in a police net for impersonating his deceased policeman brother and adorning his service uniform. The man, Nathaniel Benjamin, from Kogi State, defended he merely wore the uniform to avoid paying transportation fares. The unemployed Benjamin explained that he decided to use the decoy after his brother’s death in an accident, and after losing his job as a bank security guard. He, however, believed his action was not wrong. “When the police accosted me for using the uniform, I told them I had not committed any crime. I didn’t run away. I am not a criminal,” Benjamin stated.
