Lagos Rally: APC Supporters Back Buhari For Second Term

Supporters of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) in Lagos, have expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari will return for a second term in office ahead of next weekend’s general elections.

The supporters made this known to Newsbreak at the APC rally held on Saturday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Ibrahim Sulaimon, a mechanic said he happy he was able to see Buhari in the flesh and is optimistic of him returning to office.

“First of all, I am very happy that I had the opportunity to see President Buhari in person. It is a privilege for me and I am very happy,” Sulaimon told Newsbreak.

“There is no doubt who I will vote for, it is definitely President Buhari and I am confident he will come back for a second term.”

Another suppoter, Abiola Rasheed, who is a welder said: “From what we experienced today, it is very clear President Buhari is coming back. 

“The turnout by Lagosians is an indication that President Buhari is very popular and everyone want him to return for a second term and he surely will.”

And according to Muhammed Hassan, a fruit seller:”I am very happy with what happened today, it shows the people know who they want to lead them for the next four years.

“It is not a surprise that Buhari command this kind of support, it shows he has done well and people want him back.”
