The Ministry of Information and Culture has described as ”fake news” reports claiming the Minister, Lai Mohammed, has recanted his comment on the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.

Recall the minister has always insisted that no one died in the Lekki tollgate shooting that happened on October 20, 2020.

However, the Lagos State Jucidial panel of inquiry into the incident turned in its report to the state government on Monday, in which it confirmed that some people lost their lives during the shooting incident.
