A landlord, Paul Oparaugo, and his five children, have allegedly stabbed a tenant, Udochukwu Iwuoha, to death on Wednesday after he complained about their poultry. The deceased, from Agbaja in the Nwagele Local Government Area of Imo state, had reportedly told the family that their poultry, located behind his window, had a bad smell which was affecting his health. He also complained of the birds’ noise before he was attacked by the man and his children.

The Punch reports that the deceased was set to wed his fiancee on Friday (Today) before he was killed at his house at 50, Onumonu Street, Owerri, the state capital.

A neighbour named the children as: Chiemezie, Ndubuisi, Ugochinyere, Chidera and Deborah. He said only the last born, Michael, who is in primary school. Another neighbour, John, said hospitals had request for a police report because the injuries sustained by the deceased were too many. He died before they could get the report.
