Usifo Michael Ataga, the slain Super TV Chief Executive Officer, has been buried at Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi, Lagos State.

According to The PUNCH, Ataga was buried on Friday around 12:30pm, in a low-key ceremony attended by his family members, including his wife and friends.

It was said that journalists were restricted from covering some aspects of the burial.

The newspaper said pictures taken by Its correspondent were deleted by a relation of the deceased.

Ataga died aged 50.

On June 16, his corpse was found at an apartment on Adebowale Oshin Street, Lekki Phase I, Lagos, where he had checked in with his lover, Chidinma Ojukwu; a 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Ojukwu was subsequently arrested at her father’s house in the Yaba area of the state, and paraded at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja.

She confessed to stabbing Ataga multiple times with a knife under the influence of alcohol.

The 21-year-old, who fled the crime scene and withdrew N380,000 from the victim’s account with his ATM card, later backtracked in a video.
