The atmosphere on Saturday, 30th of September 2023 was filled with inspirational lectures, and life-changing words as over 250 participants tapped into tap into the wealth of wisdom of erudite and astute personalities and guest lecturers like Dcn. Banjo Omole the APC Party Chairman in Ifako, Hon. Gbenga Abiola Vice Chairman Agege Local Government, Miss Adeola Adefemi Best Teacher in Nigeria 2023 among others spoke at the 3rd Annual Seminar organised by ??? held in Obawole Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Lagos.

In his remarks, the convener of the initiative, Adeyemo Akeem said the “reason for the program and particularly the theme “RENEWED MINDSET” was borne out of fading and failing mindset of young people towards governance and leadership.

He added that though the trust youths have in political leaders has been betrayed hitherto by failed promises, and maladministration, there is a need for them to sustain their positive mindset and renewed patriotism and ultimately complement governmental efforts made towards developing the country further.

The first speaker, Dcn. Banjo Omole popularly called Peter the Rock took his time to dissect the topic as he implored the youth to see themselves beyond their present positions.

According to him “the process of renewing of your mind is the continuous process of getting rid, clearing away or putting off the remains, imprints, mindsets desire that tends to run contrary to the positive lives in the social, economy and political spectrum.”

He went on by charging the audience with positive mindset, genuine thought, and optimism among other positive virtues as well as good human-relation skills, self-discovery and development, insatiable quest for knowledge among others.

He urged them to be ardent readers and studious, bold, courageous and smart in pursuing their goals citing Chief M.K.O Abiola, Tony Elumelu among others as illustrious entrepreneurs and worthy role models for the youths.

The vice chairman of Agege Hon. Oluwagbenga Abiola practically gave his life story to motivate the participants urging them not to relent in any endeavor they engaged in.

He said even if they failed at the beginning consistency and a renewed mindset will bring success their way.

In addition, he emphasized that “the greatest tragedy is not death but life without purpose” adding that the purpose why something was created, and the first way to have a changed mindset is to have life with a well-defined purpose.

He went on to define vision as your purpose in picture adding that how deep you plant yourself in your field determines how far you can go in life.

On his part, Hon. Victor Onifade Leader of Ifako-Ijaiye Legislative Arm, encouraged the youth to be focused, dedicated and see their challenges as opportunities to grow and develop.

The major highlights of the event was the launching of the “SECURE A FUTURE PROJECT” according to the convener of API the project is aimed at empowering young individuals to take control of their future through, career development, and personal growth while providing them with the necessary resources and support, it strives to create a more secure and promising future for all participants. For the first year we shall focus on providing school materials for the young ones that does not have the capacity to buy uniform, school writing materials. etc

Also, Gbenga Agoye seized the opportunity to appreciate the organiser for his consistency in organizing the program, he reminded the audience of the past leadership lectures by the convener and urged him not to relent on his efforts on youth development and upliftment.

The organiser expressed his sincere appreciation to notable individuals such as Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji OON, Deacon Banjo Omole, Otunba Eyitayo Ogunmola, Pastor Samuel Olu Opajobi, Chief Mrs. Adeyemi Munsurat, Hon.Fasusi Kolawole, Mr Adekunle Sunday Shobola Elele Movement, Hon. Victor Onifade, Hon. Gbenga Agoye, Mr. Kamaldeen Olanrewaju KOA, Hon. Sunday Obanubi, Hon. Adetunji Jelili, Hon. Gbenro Onifade, Hon. Adenekan Ibrahim, Mr. Ajasa (Ajasa Info), Mr. Oladimeji Suara, Bar. Benjamin OBA, Comr. Ademosu Jamiu M.J, Also in attendance were Comr. Akani Micheal, Comr. Victor Adogbajale, Comr. Akeem Bamidele, Comr.Micheal API Team among others who made the event a success.

He also thanked the partners especially the president and members of Obawole CDA, all school heads and students who came to participate and celebrate with the convener who also used the medium to celebrate his birthday.
