Nigerian singer, Lucy Ugorji, better known as Lucy, has revealed why she left Rudeboy Records, a label owned by Paul Okoye, former member of the defunct music group, Psquare.
The singer, while recounting her ordeal said, the family feud between Peter and Paul almost sabotaged her own career.
Lucy was once signed to Rudeboy Records in 2016. Under the music imprint, she released few singles before going quiet.
The side effect of the PSquare fights diverted several attention from her music, hence she had to pull out from the label.
“I left the label because their quarrels was overshadowing my music. If I post a song, fans will be referring to the Psquare’s fight instead of talking about my own music. Of course I was still trying to push myself out there and I didn’t want to compromise a lot of things, so i just had to leave.”
Lucy was signed to the label shortly after Peter and Paul seemed to be falling out in 2016.
