Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos, Barcelona’s Andreas Iniesta, Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Atletico Madrid’s Koke have been named in the 30-man Ballon d’Or nominees’ list. The list being released in fives, had Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain, Gianluigi Buffon, Paulo Dybala, Diego Godin, Antoine Griezmann, Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gareth Bale in the first two lists.
Favourite for the award remains Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo after the 30-year-old won the European Championships with Portugal and the Champions League with Madrid. Lionel Messi will also be hoping to win the award for a sixth time.
