Liberia President, George Weah, trained with the country’s National football team on October 7, ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Preliminary round qualifiers.
According to Our African Football.com, Weah wore a bib with the number 22, and also the name of his son, Timothy, written behind it.
But his son, represents the United States of America on international duties.

President Weah, who played as a striker in his active years, assumed various roles in the training session, which included goalkeeping and also giving some coaching instructions.
Liberia recently qualified from the Preliminary stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, and will face Chad on October 9 in Liberia.
The 1995 FIFA best player of the year was said to have decided to train with the team, to serve as extra motivation for the players to fight in the encounter.
It is not the first time Weah will take part in a training session with a football team after assuming office as the country’s president.
He trained with a former club, Al Jazira, back in March this year.
