A list of purported fake venues for job interviews has surfaced online in a bid to warn and prevent eager job seekers from going into danger and falling into the wrong hands.
Iniubong was declared dead on Sunday, three days after her friend, Umoh Uduak, raised the alert of her disappearance on Twitter.
Two days prior to when she was declared missing, the deceased, a graduate of Philosophy from the University of Uyo, had announced on Twitter that she was seeking a job.
Uduak had on 29 April posted a tweet, declaring that Iniubong had made a distress call to her, suspecting that her friend had been kidnapped while going to attend a job interview at Airport Road, Uyo.
Following the unfortunate incident, vigilant Nigerians compiled and published on the blogging website, Nairaland, a list of venues that are alleged to be fake and dangerous for first-time visitors.
The list contained suspected locations in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A comment on the post read: “Hi guys. Due to the recent increase in fake job opportunity as a bait for targeting those seeking jobs. I feel we need to have a thread which will contain fake job interviews/opportunity.”
