A man, Amosu Funso, has been arrested after his girlfriend, Precious Udochi, died of stomach ache in their Abraham Adesanya Estate residence, Ogombo, Ajah, Lagos.

Funso had reported his live-in-lover’s death at the Ogombo Police Division on July 18 after which he was detained.
Udochi’s corpse was found in the house with no mark of violence on her body. A report said Udochi had returned from work on July 17 and complained of stomach ache after which she started stooling. She later asked him to get her food which she ate and slept off. She however woke up at midnight and started vomiting.

She was confirmed dead at a private hospital in Sangotedo, where she was rushed to for medical attention. Her corpse has been taken to the Mainland Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.

Bala Elkana, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
