A 72-year-old man died aboard an Air Peace flight from Calabar to Abuja.
The deceased was said to have been on medication and was headed for Abuja for a medical examination before his death. He was reportedly cleared by Port Health officials at the Calabar airport.
A Port Health official said that the passenger had no pulse when the plane landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Stanley Olisa, Air Peace’s spokesman, told The Punch that he was accompanied by his daughter. He dismissed fears that it was a COVID-19 related case. He added that the aircraft was decontaminated immediately.
