An Area Court sitting at Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, on Tuesday, dissolved the Islamic marriage of Mr Omoalijana Ibrahim and Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim over stubbornness by the woman.

The Judge, Mr AbdulQadir Umar, made the dissolution as sought by the man.

Umar held that the couple’s families failed to settle the case out of court.

He ordered that the woman should be properly served the judgement, adding that she must observe the three-month ‘Iddah’ period before she could marry again.

Omoalijana had applied for divorce on May 3, alleging that Kudirat was stubborn and all efforts to change her behaviour failed.

He attributed Kudirat’s failure to appear in court twice to her stubbornness.
