A 32-year-old man, Christ Oliver Solomon, was on Monday arraigned before an Ebute-metta Magistrates court burglary and stealing.
Solomon was said to have broken into the house of one Olatunji Falodu and stole some items.
The items he stole include pairs of jean, pairs of tie shirt, gold wrist watch, wedding ring, seven pairs of shoe, traveling bag, total value of N1.6m.
Kehind Omishakin, the police prosecutor told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 25, 2019 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Street, Ebute-metta area of Lagos.
He said the offence contravened and is punishable under Sections 307 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the two-count-charge preferred against him.
Presiding magistrate, Komolafe granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned till February 26, 2019.
