Manchester United and rivals, City, are set to go head to head for Leicester City defender, Harry Maguire, a report has said.
According to Sky Sports News, both local rivals want to sign the England defender this summer and, are prepared to begin talks for a deal that could potentially break record for an English defender.
His current club, Leicester, do not want to sell him, however, and it is understood that they have not put a valuation on the 26-year-old.
But Sky reports that the Foxes believe he is worth around £80 million , more than the £75 million world record fee Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk last year.

Both City and United are understood to be reluctant to pay the amount, but any fee would break the £50 million City spent on Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017.
Other reports have suggested that the deal would trigger market value for centre-backs if it goes through, with United putting Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly next on their list if they see Maguire move to the Etihad.
Although United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, wants to revamp his squad with the best young English talent, Pep Guardiola would be able to offer Maguire Champions League football and a prospect of filling Vincent Kompany’s shoes.
The Foxes do not want to lose Maguire. The are understood to have begun drawing up a list of possible replacement, which includes Burnley defender, James Tarkowski.
The report also added that Maguire, who joined Leicester in 2017 from Hull City for £17 million, will not push for a transfer if the bid does not materialise.
