Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on Friday said full-back Diogo Dalot is not available for Saturday’s Manchester derby and Anthony Martial trained this (Friday) morning.
NEWSBREAK reports that according to the coach, the club will have to wait and observe how Martial recovers.
Recall that Dalot came off as a ‘precaution’ in the 35th minute of United’s 3-0 Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Charlton on Tuesday but has been unable to recover in time to face City.
Martial missed the midweek tie with Charlton Athletic but appeared to be rested. However, Ten Hag clarified the Frenchman has a leg injury.
“It is a small thing in his leg so it will be better tomorrow or he will be available for Wednesday,” the Dutch tactician said of the French forward during his pre-match press conference.
United are in top form at the moment and will be looking to cut the gap between them and their neighbours (City) to one point. The kick-off time for the match at Old Trafford is 1:30 PM (Nigerian Time).
