Singer, Temmie Ovwasa, has said many Nigerian parents are responsible for ruining their children’s lives.
Ovwasa, popularly known as YBNL princess, in a post on Instagram, accused Nigerian parents of being “abusive” and “manipulative” towards their children.
She further said the parents ignore their inability to show affection towards their children, and blame tattoos and hairstyles for misbehaviours.
The 24-year-old added that the only reason many kids are still around their parents is because they are unable to admit they were abused.
“Nigerian parents will ignore their inability to show affection. Lack of introspection, the abusive/manipulative parenting &says its tattoo/hairstyles that will ruin ur life. No u did,”she wrote.
“A lot of u only have your kids around because of their inability to admit that they were abused.”
The artiste signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in August 2015, but left the label in 2020 after a disagreement with the owner, Olamide.
