MASSOB Expels Uwazuruike

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has announced that its leader, Ralph Uwazuruike, has been expelled. They have announced former National Director of Information, Uchenna Madu as the new leader. In a communique read by the movement’s newly elected National Secretary, Ugwuoke Ibem Ugwoke, they accused the leader of using the movement’s name to defraud and gather wealth for himself. They said they had generated over 300 million naira from 1999 to 2014 and had 200 million naira paid into one Confidence Uwazuruike’s Zenith Bank account which he allegedly used to acquire houses in various locations of Owerri, Imo state. They also accused him of converting over four billion naira, gathered since the inception of the movement 16 years ago, to his personal use. They also said he had allowed allowed criminals into the movement who were collecting monetary funds for him. The movement has warned the former leader to to desist from parading himself as the a member.
