Men of the Nigerian Navy have dispersed militants suspected to be members of Biafra Nations League (BnL) near Ikang in Bakassi Peninsula.

The militants were said to been dispersed near the Ikang waterways.

BnL is a separatist group fighting for a free state of Biafra. The leader, Princewill Richards was recently intercepted in Imo State, days after forming an alliance with Finland-based IPOB member, Simon Ekpa.

Meanwhile, the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has reiterated its determination to pursue the restoration of Biafra republic, insisting that the emergence of Peter Obi as the Labour Party presidential candidate in the coming general elections will not stop the struggle.

It maintained that the struggle by pro-Biafra groups is not for an Igbo man to become president of the country but for self-determination.
