The corpse of the Osun State University student, Oluwafemi Shonibare, who was declared missing nine days ago has been found near an Islamic cleric’s house. The body of the dead final year student was said to have been decomposing before it was discovered in a bush near the cleric’s house.
The cleric reportedly confessed to the police after he was arrested in connection with the student’s disappearance. Students living near the Jafaria Street wept profusely as they smelled the stench oozing from the remains, The Punch reports.
Although the discovery has not been confirmed by the police, it was confirmed by Saheed Afolabi, the Deputy Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students in South West.
