Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has strengthened his team, adding youngsters Angel Gomes and Ethan Hamilton for the Champions League. The two were plucked from the United’s Under-19 side.

Gomes, 17, was handed his first-team debut at the end of last season in United’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
The highly-rated forward became the youngest player to make his debut since Duncan Edwards and featured in the side’s 4-0 win at Yeovil last month. Hamilton joins Gomes on United’s ‘B list’ for the Champions League which includes players born after January 1 1996.
Mourinho named Hamilton on the bench for United’s FA Cup win over Huddersfield after Paul Pogba pulled out of the clash with an illness. Asked about Hamilton’s inclusion ahead of United’s defeat of Huddersfield, Mourinho said: ‘I think it’s a beautiful moment for him.
‘I’m not going to play Hamilton, but I would prefer to have him and I’m pretty sure he’s happy to be here.’
