
Consumer Protection Council (CPC) is pleased to announce a successful implementation of the customer focused initiatives prescribed by the Council early this year as MultiChoice Nigeria achieves the targets set out by the CPC to improve customer service.
Speaking at the joint press conference, the Director General of the Consumer Protection Council; Mrs. Dupe Atoki said; “The mandate of the council is to ensure that consumer’s rights and interests are protected. The CPC has been working with MultiChoice Nigeria in achieving this and we are confident that the issues have been addressed.”
John Ugbe, the Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, “Over the past year, we have worked closely with the CPC, to identify our customers’ areas of need, and made a commitment towards implementing solutions that will resonate with our customers and lead to improved customer service.”
He further added, “We put our customers first at all times and hold them in very high esteem. We are committed to delivering world class service to our customers and proud to state that we are the first video entertainment provider in Nigeria to implement these service improvement initiatives. We are confident that this drive will ultimately lead to an improved service journey for our customers” Ugbe added.
Some of the key customer-focused initiatives recently implemented by MultiChoice include; introduction of toll free lines for the public to reach the call centre which now operates longer hours during weekends and public holidays to ensure greater service and convenience, as well as allowing customers to place their accounts on hold while they are away on holiday for a maximum of 14 days (twice annually for each customer).
Additionally, MultiChoice improved its content on the mid-level offering DStv Compact in February ensuring greater value to our loyal DStv subscribers. MultiChoice additionally offered DStv customers across board irrespective of their subscription status with an open week of DStv Premium content, while 1000 Explora decoders were given to Premium customers during the same period.
