Speaking at the joint press conference, the Director General of the Consumer Protection Council; Mrs. Dupe Atoki said; “The mandate of the council is to ensure that consumer’s rights and interests are protected. The CPC has been working with MultiChoice Nigeria in achieving this and we are confident that the issues have been addressed.”

Some of the key customer-focused initiatives recently implemented by MultiChoice include; introduction of toll free lines for the public to reach the call centre which now operates longer hours during weekends and public holidays to ensure greater service and convenience, as well as allowing customers to place their accounts on hold while they are away on holiday for a maximum of 14 days (twice annually for each customer).

MultiChoice additionally offered DStv customers across board irrespective of their subscription status with an open week of DStv Premium content, while 1000 Explora decoders were given to Premium customers during the same period.
