Super Eagles stars, John Ogu, Ahmed Musa, Elderson Echiejile, Wilfred Ndidi and William Troost-Ekong joined millions to celebrate Nigeria as she celebrates her 58th Independence Anniversary on Monday.
The Nigerian internationals took to their Twitter handle to send their messages.
Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder, Ogu, wrote, “HAPPY INDEPENDENCE TO MY BELOVED COUNTRY NIGERIA.”
Troost-Ekong who now play for Serie A side Udinese said:”Happy 58th Independence Day to our beloved Naija!”
According to AFCON 2013 winner Echiejile, “Happy Independence to my lovely country Nigeria! I love my country.”
Al Nasr Riyadh of Saudi Arabia new acquisition, Musa, celebrated stated,”Today is a day that represents freedom, equality and unity. I stand proud to be a Nigerian and on this day of our independence. I want to salute all my fellow Nigerians in honour of this great day. Happy Independence Day.”
And in his words, Leicester City star Ndidi wrote on his handle, “HAPPY I N D E P E N D E N C E DAY NAIJA.”
