Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa scored in CSKA Moscow’s 2-1 victory over Anzhi on Sunday, to secure Champions League football for the club next season on the final day of the Russian Premier League season.
Musa had opened scoring, before Arsen Khubulov leveled for the visitors in the 33rd minute.
The goal was his seventh for the club in ten appearances since joining on loan from English Premiership side, Leicester City in January.
Vitinho then scored what proved to be the winner for CSKA Moscow in the 61st minute as they clinched automatic qualification ahead of Spartak Moscow.
With the victory, CSKA clinched the second spot on 58 points ahead of Spartak Moscow, who lost 1-0 at home to Dinamo Moscow to finish on 56 points. Spartak will play in the qualifying round to secure a place in the competition’s group stage next season.
Meanwhile, Lokomotiv Moscow were crowned League Champions, despite losing 2-0 away to Arsenal Tula.
