Beneficiaries of the Muhammadu Buhari administration’s N-Power scheme work-for-cash social assistance programme receive a monthly payment of N30,000.
The one-year term programme’s primary target sectors include agriculture, construction, health, education, and the state’s tax collection system.
Among the five N-Power components, the education subcomponent (N-Teach) is the most popular, as large numbers of youths are deployed to teach in public schools.
The scheme in 2020 disengaged its flagship beneficiaries of both Batch A and B, while fresh intakes of Batch-C1 volunteers started in September 2021. Their period of engagement ended in August 2022.
Till date, the exit packages of the N-Power batches A and B beneficiaries have not been fulfilled. Meanwhile, a fresh batch (C2) is currently being onboarded.
