Italian Serie A side, Napoli, have announced the signing of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, from French Ligue 1 side, Lille.
Napoli announced the signing in a statement published on their website on Friday.
“SSC Napoli are delighted to announce the signing of Victor Osimhen from Lille on a permanent transfer,” the statement read.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, wrote on Twitter: “Welcome to Napoli, Victor.”
Osimhen reportedly joined the Italian side for an African record fee of €81m.
He will wear the No.9 jersey at the Serie A side.
Speaking on the development, Osimhen tweeted: “Can’t wait to put on this iconic jersey, thank you for the warm welcome @sscnapoli #forzanapolisempre.”
Osimhen helped Nigeria win the U17 World Cup in 2015, when he finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals.
He made his full Super Eagles debut in June 2017 and so far has 10 caps and four goals to his name.
