Gome United goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi has admitted it was difficult to beat Nasarawa United in their Nigeria Professional Football League game on Wednesday. He praised the team’s defence saying it was strong to hae ensured they left Nasarawa with maximum points.
“It was a good game for both teams and we both played well.
“At the beginning, we knew Nasarawa United were a good team and were going to be tough.
“We knew that since they drew at home in their last game, they will be seeking a draw against us.
“We have been trying hard to get points away, but it was very difficult for us. The tension was so high but we luckily found a way to score.
“In the first half, they gave us a good fight but we took one of our few chances to get the winning goal late in the second half.Gombe
“I’m happy we are beginning to ground out result and become stronger defensively,” Fabiyi told Goal.
