Paris Saint-Germain star and world’s most expensive footballer, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, demonstrated how much he is worth by flying to the Brazilian national team training in Teresopolis, Rio de Janeiro, in his private Airbus H-145 helicopter.
The aircraft which is 13.64 metres long and 3.95 metres high, built by Mercedes Benz, costs $14.5 million.
Neymar, who has been removed as captain of the team, has his initials, NJR, inscribed on the tail of the plane. The black helicopter can cruise at 248km per hour.
Brazil’s Rio Times also reported that Neymar also owns a $14million private plane that he uses for long distance trips.
The 27- year-old earns €36.8m a year, part of which is from endorsements by global brands such as Nike, Panasonic, Volkswagen, Gilette. His total earnings are however a little less than the €40m earned by Lionel Messi at Barcelona.
His net worth has been estimated to be more than US$ 150 million, according to privatejetfan.com.
