The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, has reportedly reached an agreement with Nigerian Breweries Plc, to become one of the official sponsor of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
According to Complete Sports, the partnership agreement, which has not been made public, was sealed recently and the announcement is expected to be made soon.
The football federation has attracted long-term sponsorship agreements deals with Coca-Cola, Payporte and WAPIC since the Super Eagles qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The Nigerian Breweries, makers of Star Lager, Gulder and Heineken, currently have huge partnership deals with Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Also, one of the company’s brands, Star, is the official beer of the NPFL.
The NFF have been active since Nigeria secured another World Cup qualification, arranging high-profile warm-up friendlies for the Eagles against England, Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia and Congo.
The Super Eagles have been drawn against Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D of the World Cup in Russia.
