A total of 27 students, three staff members and 11 family relatives of the school’s employees were abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits from the school on 17 February.
The abductees were released early Saturday and were taken to a Niger State lodge by the state government.
Channels Television quoted an official of the state government as saying that the abductees were released from a location close to where the 53 travellers who were also kidnapped were released a week ago.
It is, however, unknown whether a ransom was paid to secure the release of the abductees.
