Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, has lamented the level of killings in the country.

There have been attacks on government facilities in the South-east, especially police stations, with many police officers killed by gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Bandits have also continued to carry out killings and kidnappings in the north.
Unknown gunmen, on Sunday, assassinated former aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

The actress, in a tweet on Monday, said the country is slipping into anarchy.
Dominic stated that political office holders must work harder to douse the tension in the country.
She also condemned killing of innocent Nigerians, saying it will not solve anything.

She wrote: “I am afraid that we are watching Nigeria slip into anarchy. It is surreal. Our elected officials need to work harder to douse the tension in the country. We need peace to reign. Harassing and killing innocent citizens can never solve anything.”
