The Nigerian Army has extended its exercise, Ayem Akpatuma, by two months in Taraba state. This was announced via a statement by Texas Chukwu, the Director, Army Public Relations. He said the extension was necessary to further consolidate on the successes recorded by the exercise. He said some Nigerians had called for the extension due to its effectiveness in boosting security in the area. He urged residents to cooperate with troops by giving useful and timely information to enable them carry out their duties.
Newsbreak.ng recalls that the exercise was flagged off on 20 February, 2018 to practice troops in North Central and parts of North West.
