Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has criticized the Nigerian army over the manner it has handled the attack by bandits on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, because it occurred in the north.
Bandits had attacked the military facility, located along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Bypass in the early hours of Tuesday, killing two officers and abducting a Major.
The kidnappers are said to e demanding N200 million for the release of the officer.
Abdulkareem, in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, said military personnel would have razing villages and killing Igbos if the NDA was located in the South-east.
He wrote: “Let’s assume the NDA is located in any of the Igbo states and such attack took place. By now the army will be burning down Igbo villages and killing Igbos.”
the Nigerian security agencies were accused of carrying out extrajudicial killings of Igbo youths months ago, while ‘cracking down’ on suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
