A Nigerian man has been arrested in India for allegedly peddling drugs worth Rs 5 lakh (approximately N2,795,022 million).
The Nigerian, whose identity was not revealed, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Indian city of Mumbai on Sunday, according to the Times of India.
The publication reported that the Nigerian was nabbed following a raid by the NCB in the Goregaon area of Mumbai, with the drug mephedrone seized from the accused.
The accused was subsequently arraigned in court after he was formally charged.
Meanwhile, in the last year, NCB has arrested 32 Nigerian drug dealers and recovered different types of drugs worth more than Rs 50 crores (N2.79 billion).
