German business delegates that accompanied Angela Merkel to Nigerian, on Friday met with their Nigerian counterparts in Aso Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which was presided by the minister of Trade and Investment, Okey Enelamah, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding between German Hydro electric company Voith and Nigerian power company Genesis Energy.
Also present at the meeting was the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Yusuf Tuggar.
Tuggar had on Wednesday announced that the meeting with the German delegates will also focus on enhancement of economic relations and security between the two countries.
Some of the Nigerian delegates at the meeting include officials from the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission, NERC, Nigerian Investment Promotion Investment, The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk-Sharing System for Agricultural Lending, NISRAL, Natioal Automotive Design and Development Council, Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA and the Nigerian Embassy in Germany.
A Business Roundtable, to be attended by President Buhari and Chancellor Merkel, will take place later.
Merkel’s visit to Nigeria is part of her tour to some African countries.
