Nigerian football referee, Rabiu Isa, has died from injuries sustained in a road crash.
Newsbreak learnt that Isa, an indigene of Jigawa State, died last week in an auto crash aftermath of a Nigeria National League (NNL) league match in Abuja.

Akwa United defeated second-placed Plateau United 2-1 on Saturday evening in the Matchday 35 fixture of the NPFL in Uyo, which leaves them 10 points adrift of Rivers United with 71 points.
It is ‘The Pride of Rivers’’ first NPFL title since its establishment in 2016 through the merging of Sharks F.C and Dolphins F.C by the state government.
Rivers United’s best record in the league before now was a second-place finish in the 2015/2016 season of the NPFL.
