Nigerians have expressed disappointment over late arrival, offline trip suggestions, driver illiteracy of ride-sharing apps such as Uber, Bolt and In-Drive, among others.
According to a Red Community Survey on ride-sharing Services in Nigeria conducted by Ragital, a foremost digital marketing company in Nigeria, about 33 per cent of the respondents confirmed the late pickup by the ride-sharing apps, describing it as ridiculous.
They also lamented the declining rate of ride requests to some areas, the low improvement on safety, maintenance of vehicles, rejection of card trips, and asking riders of their destination when it can be seen on the app.
However, 85 per cent of the respondents admitted to being familiar with ride-sharing, while 67 per cent said they enjoy ride-sharing service with the Bolt app.
The survey further revealed only two per cent of the respondents use ride-sharing services daily, while 45 per cent occasionally.
