Adeyemi, who is also a strategic leadership expert, had tweeted about the current political situation in Mali, in which he said “Malians have a unique opportunity to lay a new foundation for Mali…”

However, some Nigerians on the micro-blogging site thought he was referring to “Marlians”, a word used to describe staunch followers of controversial Nigerian musician, Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.
Adeyemi, upon realising that some people had misunderstood the word, he said:

“What is happening? I wrote ‘Malians’ in a tweet but some people saw ‘Marlians’. Our brains are biased when it comes to seeing.”
