The Nigerian ambassador to Morocco, Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, is dead, Newsbreak Nigeria reports.
Mansur Nuhu Bamalli passed away at a private hospital in Lagos while travelling to Morocco, according to a statement from the Zazzau emirate council’s media and publicity officer.
In addition, he was the biological younger brother of the Emir of Zazzau and the Magajin Garin Zazzau.
“Funeral prayers will be announced later,” the statement said.
His wife and two kids survive him. The deceased was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari a year ago.
Geoffrey Onyeama, the then-Minister of Foreign Affairs, had stated in a letter dated October 7 that the appointment was made in honour of his decades of distinguished service to our country as a member of the Nigerian Foreign Service.
He held the position of deputy director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to his appointment.
