Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala has won the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award. The Dalian Quanjian of China striker beat off competition from Chrestina Kgatlana (South Africa & UWC Ladies) and Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene(Cameroon & Rossyanka) to win the award.

The 23-year-old had previously won the award in 2014 and 2016.
Oshoala notched 12 goals including a brace in the final game of the season. Her exploits earned Quanjian a league and Cup double and she was crowned the League’s Best Striker.
