Emerging from the hard earned victory against Sunshine Stars that proved as  difficult as a hard nut to crack, Lobi Stars are in Aba to take their share of the spoils in a rescheduled NPFL 2020/2021 Match Day 16 game against  Enyimba who have not been recently impressive, having dropped 4 points at home.

On average, games involving the two clubs both past and recent have proven to be difficult as none have respect for each other’s home. Lobi Stars shared points in the last aborted NPFL 2019/2020 in Aba and are again determined not to leave empty handed.

The people’s elephant and the Pride of Benue are neck to neck on the log with 35 and 34 points, placed 7th and 8th respectively. The result of this game will either maintain the status quo or redefine their standing, though Enyimba has an advantage of three outstanding games as against 1 to Lobi Stars which will be resolved Wednesday June 2, 2021 in Aba.

The all-time head to head of the two clubs set them at equal strength in the NPFL, having played 26 games, won 10 each and drew 6, scored average of 1.88 goals per game each. Today’s game will redefine the statistics.

The recent five games of Enyimba and Lobi Stars in the 2020/2021 NPFL show that Enyimba earned 5 points from 15 possible, while Lobi Stars earned 6 out of 15 possible with more away games.

Comparatively, this game can swing either way, going by previous records and current form. While Enyimba proved to be more impressive at away than home with Lobi Stars proving to better at home shared the advantage as each hold the short end of the stick.

According to Austin Tyowua, the Media Officer of Lobi State,, Coach Kabiru Dogo has assured the management and fans of Lobi Stars that he is not in Aba for a joke but to break the recent away point drought with a winning mentality
