As the Federal Government (FG) keep on with the npower scheme, authorities on Tuesday empowered 158 Ebonyi youths with tools for smartphone repairs and relevant services.
Newsbreak reports that the youths drawn from the 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state also received tools (starter-packs) at the closing ceremony of the National Skills (N-Skills) programme in Abakaliki, the state capital.
FG claim it has provided job opportunities for 14,682 unemployed youths in Akwa Ibom state through the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) graduate and non-graduate components of npower. This news medium cannot verify this claim though. Each beneficiary reportedly received rework soldering station digital multi-meter, precision screwdrivers, repair tool kit and magnifying lamp.
Furthermore, a graduation ceremony on the npower N-Skills Smart Phone Repair Programme was held in Uyo and all the states of the federation to mark the end of a 5-week technical services training for 14,682 unemployed youths in Akwa-Ibom state.
In a similar vein, beneficiaries of the npower N-Skills Phone Repairs Programme under the NSIP concluded on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau state.
