The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday said reports circulating on social media platforms and WhatsApp groups that it will conduct a recruitment test on January 8, is false.

Newsbreak.ng reports that in a statement, the NSCDC said the message is fake, misleading and a calculated attempt by fraudsters and cyber-criminals to take advantage of the recruitment process in order to extort unsuspecting applicants.

“The NSCDC recruitments, enlistment and promotion exercises are coordinated and supervised by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, Immigration Service Board.

“All updates with regards to the 2022 recruitment exercise would be published officially and made available to the public by the Board in due course,” the agency said.

“We enjoin the public to remain calm and patient for the authentic update and information on the recruitment process,” it added.
