Barack Obama, US president, is to visit Dallas shootings scene, where five policemen were cut down during a black protest. Tension has boiled over since the shooting to death by white policemen of two unarmed black youths months apart from each other. The incident is believed to be the deadliest for American police since the September 11 terrorist attacks, the White House said. US governmrnt said Obama’s visit will help “bring people together to support our police officers and communities, and find common ground by discussing policy ideas for addressing the persistent racial disparities in our criminal justice system,” said his press secretary, Josh Earnest. Moreover, protests have continued to spread to more cities such as Baltimore, Atlanta and Philadelphia.
Conservatives were quick to accuse Obama of having blood on his hands for delivering remarks hours before the Dallas shootings in which he urged white Americans to take seriously the Black Lives Matter protest movement’s grievances over racism in the criminal justice system
