Festus Keyamo spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council has claimed that most supporters of Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi used the rallies held across the country as an avenue to beg for money.
In an attempt to discredit the much-talked-about rally that took place across various states of the federation, Keyamo, who shared a video of Peter Obi supporters begging for money, said that most people who attended the rally were there to ‘rag non-obedient and other passers-by for money.
“Bursting their bubble: most of them just came out to use the so-called ‘March’ to ‘rag’ non-obedient and peaceful passersby for money. They don’t give ‘shi shi’, but they want ‘shi shi!’ . Talk of second branch of People Deceiving People!” tweet by Keyamo read.
On Saturday, supporters of Peter Obi made headlines after mass gatherings in various states across the federation to show support for the presidential bid of the Labour Party’s flagbearer.
Reno Omokri, a political opponent of Peter Obi, praised the rally and described it as a great achievement. However, he stated that despite the growing support from Nigerians, Peter Obi will not be elected president in 2023.
