John Obuh has resigned as head coach of Akwa United with immediate effect.
The former Nigeria’s Under 17 team coach was appointed as coach of the Akwa Ibom-based team at the beginning of the current Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The 2017 Aiteo Cup winners are currently 17th in the league table, and are in the relegation zone with seven points from eight matches.
The club are yet to announce a caretaker manager.
